Wanga Moshani - Velokhaya BMX Team

I was born on 11 November 1998 in Khayelitsha - Cape Town.

I am a grade six learner at Eluxolweni Primary School in Khayelitsha.

I live in Khayelitsha - Cape Town.

I am staying with my aunt, my uncle, my seven cousins and my sisters.

I started BMXing in January 2009.

To be part of the World Championships in Pietermaritzburg in July is one of my biggest achievements apart from winning medals and trophies in local events. It has always been my dream to see world BMX riders face to face.

BMXing keeps me busy and makes me want to achieve more; it has taught me discipline and to work hard for anything I need.

BMX has also taught me to work together as a team and to be there for each other; it has also taught me independence.

I train five days a week from 16:00 to 18:00.

My dream is to succeed so that I can travel to participate in national and world events.

I admire riders like Sifiso Nhlapho - for his fearlessness. I have been watching his documentary where he has been encouraging young people, especially blacks, to never give in to the negative things other people say.

I would like to ride for the SA team and be able to travel all around the world.

My favourite food is chicken and rice - in fact I can eat rice with anything! My favourite drink is Coca-Cola.
