I was born in Cape Town on 19 November 1990.
I live in Khayelitsha.
I have three sisters and am the first born and only boy in the family. My father works for the City of Cape Town.
I would like to be an IT specialist.
I started cycling when I was 15.
I cycle full time and train for about 15 hours a week.
I enjoy cycling because it allows me to compete against cyclists whom I look up to and respect, while at the same time allowing me the opportunity to chat with them after the race.
I also enjoy cricket, although I don't play the game.
Cycling has taught me discipline and to respect other people.
My dream would be to be the first black cyclist to ride for Lance Armstrong's team. I would also like to work for a big company as an IT specialist.
A lot of peoplein my neighbour-hood have a very negative attitude towards cycling, they think that it is a boring sport and is only meant for white people; getting to change their mind set and convincing them to appreciate cycling as a sport is a challenge..
I spend less time with my family, sometimes I don't even get to go on holiday with them because of my cycling commitments. I do try and spend as much time with them as possible when I have a rest day or during off-season to make up for that.
I admire David George - he is very talented and never gives up. Lance Armstrong is my cycling hero and I would love to meet him one day.
Pasta and rice with stew (beef) are my favourite meals.
Judge Judy is my favourite TV programme - she has a way of finding solutions!
I enjoy listening to music especially DJ S'bu's
I relax by watching movies.
