Show your support for National Book Week (September 5 – 10) by donating unwanted books to the 'Books on Bikes' initiative and give less fortunate children living in Khayelitsha access to books!
A collaboration between the Velokhaya Life Cycling Academy and Bike & Saddle (www.bikeandsaddle.com), the 'Books on Bikes' initiative has decided to use National Book week to encourage children to read – and South Africans to donate unwanted books to the project.
More details on the various Books on Bikes events planned – which include a school essay competition, a book collection drive and an annual Books on Bikes Day (December 10) - are available on Facebook (on both the Books on Bikes and Velokhaya pages) or by emailing contact@booksonbikes.com
