Suzi Broomberg - LCA/Velokhaya Administrator

Getting to know Suzi:

Suzi is the LCA/Velokhaya Administrator and wife to LCA co-founder, Glyn Broomberg. She has been involved with the LCA since its inception.

I was born on December 16, 1953.

I live in Glencairn Heights, Cape Town.

I am married to Glyn and have a son, Matt Eager.

I am not a cyclist but enjoy it because my family do! I ride horses and enjoy walking our dogs and reading.

I also run a guest house.

Before I became involved in the LCA, I ran a riding school, trail business and a guest house.

As the administrator for the LCA/Velokhaya, I take care of race/league entries, book Pro Team tours, order equipment, pay invoices, administer the payroll, do the book-keeping, etc. I am also the secretary for the Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge events.

I'm an outdoor person so doing office work is a challenge but the best part of my job is being involved in something that makes a difference to people's lives.

I overcome the challenges I face by trusting the process, being open to change and never giving up.

My message to the youth in the townships is to have a dream and to follow it.

My wish is to see the LCA reach its full potential through increased financial support/sponsorship.

The persons I would most like to meet are the Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela.
